Unacknowledged centers the story of Mansa Musa—one of the wealthiest and most influential men in history—whose voice and legacy have been largely left out of mainstream historical narratives. Students will examine how history is recorded, whose perspectives are prioritized, and why so little is known about Musa beyond outside accounts like the Catalan Atlas. Students will create their own illustrated maps—of their community or life journey—to declare, this is how I want to be remembered.
Registration will open a few weeks in advance to initiative launch
